A Meditation With Trees

The deep forest
This is a meditation that can be done with any tree or grove of trees you are drawn to. You can be in the woods or at the edge of a woods. The important thing is to be where the energy feels right to you.  Doug

Before you sit down, stand firmly upon the ground and observe the beauty of the trees and the whole natural world around you.  Take a moment to notice the shape of the trees, their texture, colors, etc. and be in a state of appreciation for the trees being in your life. With your arms at your side, your elbows slightly bent, and with the palms of your hands facing outward, slowly bring your arms up in order to gather energy from the trees. Bring them over your head with your palms now facing each other. Next, face your palms downward and lower your hands slowly back to where you started, knowing you are filling your body up with the healing energy of the trees. Do this at least 3 times. After you feel filled up with the high vibrational energy of the trees, sit down where you are comfortable (but not too relaxed).  Now take some slow deep breaths, breathing in the essence and spirit of the trees around you.  Do this at least 5 times. Close your eyes and notice how you feel. If there are any areas of tension in your body, relax those areas and let that go. Relax your whole body and set aside any and all thoughts of the day that come into your mind. Turn off your mind completely and just be with the energy of the trees for as long as you wish.  When you are ready, you may ask the trees for a healing. Just be still and know that in some form you will receive healing energy from them. The healing may come in the form of energy you feel, or in the form of a greater sense of peace and serenity. It may also come as a vision and invite you to participate in something in your mind's eye.  You may encounter the spirit of a tree or possibly an angelic being, or even another kind of gentle being who knows what kind of healing you need. You may even find yourself flying above the treetops or floating through a forest. The important thing is to just allow the vision to unfold without trying to figure it out or make it something that it's not.  Great trust is needed here. Just take as long as you need for the healing or the pleasant vision to take place.  When you feel it is done and you are ready to come back, simply begin by wiggling your toes and moving your fingers.  Become aware of your breathing and your surroundings and open your eyes when you are ready.  At this time, stand up and thank the trees. Send them your love and appreciation for all they have done. Thank the Earth, too, sending it love and appreciation for supporting and loving you and allowing you to live upon it.  Send as much love as you can to all of nature. Thank you for doing this meditation.  You should now feel very relaxed and uplifted into a much higher vibration of joy and love.

A Tree Meditation for Healing

White Pine (left) & Red Pine at Raquette Lake
Submitted by Zentura of Casper, Wyoming

Stand facing a tree as close as you can with your hands on it.

Ground into Mother Earth in the manner you’re accustomed to. Be with that energy until it feels like you’re ready to go to the next step.

Then bring that energy up into your solar plexus. Be with that energy until it feels like you’re ready to go to the next step.

While holding the Earth energy in your solar plexus, bring Universal energy down through your crown chakra, continuing down to your solar plexus. Be with that energy until you feel ready to go to the next step.

Then, in your solar plexus, spin the Earth energy and the Universal energy together, clockwise, asking for healing. Be with this until you feel complete.

Next, send the mixed Earth/Universal energy down into Mother Earth and up into the Universe.

Finally, hugging the tree, place your forehead against it asking for insights, guidance, whatever you feel you desire.

Give thanks for the experience.
